Below are general recommendations for supplements according to the typical needs of our patients.
Be aware of what other medications you are taking that may be disrupted by or already contain dosages of these supplements.

  • Vitamin D3 and Omega 3 oils daily.
  • Magnesium glycinate 400mg nightly and zinc 30mg daily with a meal are highly encouraged. Magnesium and zinc appear to work in similar areas of the body as ketamine, and possibly in similar ways.
  • L-Methyl Folate 15mg is very important for patients with a family history of mood disorders.
  • Inositol and skullcap for anxiety and depression.
  • Lavender, passionflower, and chamomile for anxiety.

Wells Medicine provides additional resources with supplement recommendations specific to common patient needs, including for Pain Management, PMS & Menstrual Health, and Sleep & Meditation. Please ask Dr Wells if you have any questions about these supplements or supplements not listed.

Wells Medicine may facilitate lab testing or review of lab tests which may be helpful for determining treatment strategies for some patients. For more information, speak with us about this option.
