Wells Medicine is working with Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh to conduct research on ketamine infusion therapy. These studies are important for developing our understanding of mental health conditions and ketamine therapy for mood disorders.

Wells Medicine provides a connection point between our research partners and interested patients. Patient relationships with Wells Medicine remain the same regardless of study participation.

IV Ketamine with Digital Therapy Exercises

remote, year-long study


Eligibility

  • Ages 18-80
  • Receiving IV ketamine for depression with Wells Medicine
  • Patient is pursuing an initial series of ketamine infusions. Those new to ketamine or returning after a break are eligible
  • Completion of digital onboarding prior to first infusion


Reasons for Consideration

  • Compensation up to $650-$750
  • Participation (excluding ketamine infusion appointments) is remote and can be done from anywhere
  • Enhanced clinical monitoring of your symptoms through the study assessments
  • Chance of getting free access to a portable digital treatment that may extend the duration of your depression relief and help you get the most of your ketamine treatments
  • Contribution to knowledge of how to help people like yourself


Exclusions

  • Psychosis
  • Severe substance abuse

IV Ketamine with EEG Monitoring

in-person study, includes meetings with research team


Eligibility

  • Ages 21-55
  • Receiving IV ketamine for depression with Wells Medicine
  • Patient has tried at least one antidepressant in the past
  • Patient is pursuing an initial series of ketamine infusions. Those new to ketamine or returning after a break are eligible
  • Completion of in-person onboarding prior to first infusion


Reasons for Consideration

  • Compensation for your time
  • Uber rides to first and fourth infusions
  • Evaluation and consultation with a psychiatrist
  • Bloodwork
  • Contribution to knowledge of how ketamine helps people like yourself


Exclusions

  • Psychosis
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Pregnancy
